Yesterday, our CEO Paul Tommasini explored this question when presenting at Third Sector’s 7th National Housing and Homelessness Forum in his session entitled ‘Leveraging data-driven insights to predict and prevent tenancy loss’.
With inCommunity Inc.’s dedication to early intervention and tenancy sustainment, led by our brand the Tenancy Skills Institute for the last 12 months, we have been exploring with our valued property manager network, just how many potential tenancies are at risk of failing in the private rental market.
The data to date shows a breathtaking look into the possible next wave of homelessness, while also giving us incredible insights into how early intervention strategies are working to prevent these tenancies from failing.
The Tenancy Skills Institute, with our Research Partners, are now undertaking the first ever Australasian survey of property managers exploring more deeply ‘why are tenancies at risk of failure?’ in Australia and New Zealand.
This next survey will deliver another layer of critical data to inform how the community and government sectors can unlock early intervention strategies to prevent homelessness before it begins by working with the real estate industry.
We thank our Research Partners REIA, REIQ, REIACT, REINSW, REIT, Cloudstaff, Mitchell PT and MRI Software for their collaboration with this important survey.
