Yesterday, the Tenancy Skills Institute delivered a free ‘Introduction to Renting’ session to 15 young people who are students at DISCO (Downs Industry Schools Co-Op) Toowoomba’s flexi school.
DISCO is a specialist not-for-profit youth-services agency focused on assisting youth to develop the required education and employment skills so they can lead an enriched and fulfilling life.
Integral to these students’ pathways to success is housing stability, so ensuring these young people understand the fundamentals of renting is vital. Here, our trainer Tony shares how young people respond to learning practical tenancy skills.
This week’s free training session was only possible thanks to the generous contribution of private donors. If you share our goal of providing young people with practical tenancy skills to achieve housing stability, please consider donating to our EOFY fundraising appeal.
