National Homelessness Week commences today.
Here at the Tenancy Skills Institute, we recognise the importance of sustaining tenancies in the current context of low vacancy rates and housing stock throughout Australia, to prevent people from becoming vulnerable to homelessness.
Ensuring renters are upskilled with practical ‘how-to’ tenancy skills is an important part of our contribution to addressing this issue via our tenancy education courses.
Between July 2024 and June 2025, we delivered tenancy education to 6,700 Australians, with 80% becoming Tenancy Skills Institute graduates. We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of these students who are now upskilled to ensure they have the best chance of rental success.
Join us this week as we share vital insights into the issue of homelessness right now.
The Tenancy Skills Institute is Australia’s leader in homelessness prevention and early intervention, using an education and cross-sector partnership framework. We are part of inCommunity, a not-for-profit organisation supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness since 1982.
