REISA: 2026 Australasian Property Manager Survey Partner

8 April 2026

The Tenancy Skills Institute’s 2025 research paper uncovered alarming yet useful data about the Australasian private rental market to inform how we can work together to prevent homelessness.

Through our annual survey, property managers reported the number of tenancies at risk of failing on their rent roll, indicating that an average of 4.84% of tenancies were at risk of failure. An outcome that could lead to these households becoming vulnerable to homelessness.

Last year’s data also confirmed a positive sentiment amongst property managers towards effecting change to refer households in at-risk tenancies to the community sector for targeted support to sustain tenancies, with 89% indicating they would welcome an online tool for referrals of this nature.

This year, we once again seek expert insights from property managers to understand 2026 trends, and we are proud to announce that the Real Estate Institute of South Australia is a survey partner, ensuring their extensive network of property managers can provide input into the South Australian context.

Thank you to REISA for your support of the Tenancy Skills Institute and this important research.
